The past two days have flown by. The team has loved on multitudes of children and have given their all. They have emptied themselves and heavily depending on God for strength. The great news...God has been faithful.
Before I forget, Pastor Mark wants Dorothy to know he loves her and misses her terribly. There...enough of that mushy stuff!
Please forgive me for not posting comments on each picture. I have a small pocket of time ...and pictures are supposed to paint a thousand words. I'm counting on that today. :) I want you to see our great team in action!
After shoveling their bodies stiff...our team decided against manually mixing our own cement for the floor of the building we're working on. There was a quick executive decision by Micah and Larry to fork out the extra bucks of a redi-mix truck. Various guys in the group pledged the extra money needed for this wonderful luxury. Saturday morning the cement truck pulled up and it made things a lot easier for the guys. Their tongues were not hanging out as badly on Saturday. :)
Saturday evening we proided a cookout for the kids. We had grilled hamburgers, guacamole, chips, chips, chips and pop! We had also purchased some fruit for the kids to enjoy...but they were filled up...so we all enjoyed a fruit breakfast. YUM!
Sunday morning we visited the family with the handicapped sons...and the group felt very humbled. From there we went to church on one bus. It was a bit cozy...but fun! Sunday afternoon we went to Mercy home and were able to see some families reunited for a few minutes. Many tears were shed. Please pray for the directors of Mercy Home.
Last night we had a boys cooking night. The guys made brownies for everyone's breakfast today. Chocolate for breakfast???? Oh yeah!!!! Todd wants Jenney to take note!
Keri is missing her husband and loving on all the kids while wondering in the back of her mind if her Gary has had any luck deer hunting. Little G (Gary Flynn) has his own fan club with many followers! Chris and Jenney have been busy giving a million manicures (the girls quickly scrape off the polish for a new color)! Todd resembles a tree from children crawling over him and carrying them around. Larry's tender heart has been broken by the broken children. Vito and Estephen are usually in the middle of a pile of kids. Teena is faithfully serving where needed. Larry and Micah's mathamatical minds have been used for converting recipes to feed multitudes and purchase massive quantities of staple foods. Micah also is the in-house comic...eating bugs...which helps to relieve hurting hearts. I have grown to appreciate his BIG heart and desire to serve...although it's hard to catch a real pic of manual labor! :) Actually he sweats like the rest of the guys. Sid and John are wonder guys. They just have the unique ability to do what is needed without being asked. Pastor Mark quickly picked up from when he was here before. The kids love him. Sid and John are rooming with Pastor Mark back yonder in the Hilton suite. Actually...for awhile...they had the only working toilet. Don't worry Chris, we won't say who flushed the toilet paper!
FYI...It is a known fact down here that Dodge and Chevy trucks squat quite pathetically when overloaded by several hundreds of pounds.
Last night we also took the entire staff (except Mama and Papa) out for tacos and icecream. What a great time. Last night on the bus ride home...there was much laughter and fellowship ! A precious memory indeed.
For those of you who have been down to Lily...you know how easy it is for your mind to be on overload. The hurts, the needs...so many children to love. I am asking you, back home, to lift this team up in prayer. The work is intense and the children's needs are great. It's hard to pace your heart. The tears are falling freely by all and we are calling out to our BIG GOD!
Please pray for a very important meeting that will be taking place today at 3:00 Michigan time. We need an adoption miracle....actually several!
I am hoping to post more later today. Stay tuned. Hey Riley family...I have some pics of your kids together. Keep watching! I'm hoping to see DIF today as well on the behalf of ongoing adoptions! Hope I'll have news today. If not...there is tomorrow.

I just wanted you to know that seeing this blog today and what you are doing for those kids has really touched me. Life has been a little rough and hurtful lately so seeing the love and service that still exists in this world has really lifted my spirits. Thank you so much.
It's good to see love when mainstream media is telling us the world's coming to an end because a lot of rich folks are losing a lot of money...thank you for posting this entry
linda! thanks for all the pics and the update. it's ok that there are no captions. again, i really really really appreciate your devotion to keeping us in the loop, giving glory to god for what he's doing, and asking us to pray. i'm experiencing crazy amounts of jealousy because i'm not there. sigh. soak it up. i'll be praying for it all on my way home from work today. i'll just pretend i'm driving through the streets of chihuahua...except i'll stop at the stop signs. ;)

it is great to see the pictures. it is obvious that God is working through all of you. these children are being loved by God through you! awesome! let my friends (chris, jenney and the rest from west side) know i'm praying for them, i'm proud of them and i love them! thanks for all you do!
