Maybe the countdown to the Americanos arrival wasn't a great idea afterall. You would think the kids ingested mega doses of sugar. They are wild with excitement!!! Vito and Estephen will be arriving first to get bombarded with tons of hugs and kisses. Then tonight the airport will bring 11 more of our group. Sometime on Saturday the rest of our group will be arriving to a very big welcome! I think this is even bigger than Christmas. I have witnessed 1 Christmas season...and I dare say that Ameriano hugs and kisses outweigh any toy or candy by far! I have often wondered why this is so. But I believe deep down in my heart that anyone from the states represents hope and a chance to receive unconditional one-on-one love. Some day I am hoping to communicate to them all individually that this emptiness they are hoping to be filled by Americanos can only be filled by Jesus Christ. They can enjoy His love 24/7. They don't have to wait for visits or adoptions. God offers his grace ahora!!!!

We have a fairly new boy, Adrian, who is a keeper! Because he is new, he cannot attend the regular school yet because his school records have not been located. To make a long story short, I was driving him to a night school last evening and as we headed down the bumpy rocky road, I couldn't help but notice the beautiful full moon and worship it's creator! Just then the song, "How Great Thou Art" came over the radio...and I was overwhelmed with worship... singing along in English...treasuring the moment. I also noticed that Adrian was listening very carefully. After the song finished, Adrian shared with me that he heard a missionary sing that song when he lived up in the mountains with his mother and he liked it very much. It really made me stop and think. I am sure that missionary had no idea of the impact he had while singing that song up in the mountains. Did he realize his song was planting seeds in a young man who would hold on to those words when his world fell apart? Do any of us realize the impact we have when we share Jesus? I believe that God does not waste seeds planted for His Kingdom. I'm now realizing the importance of watering those precious seeds. Satan wants us to live without purpose...with meaningless routines. I want to make the moments count. I don't want to miss an opportuniity of loving people to Jesus.

Yesterday I tried to accomplish my 'To Do List' only to lose the list. ARGHHHH! Finally I gave in to leaning completely on Jesus to help me do what needed to be done. I was busy but had peace on the journey. Who knows if everything was completed or not...but one thing I do know...Jesus led me all the way! So...it's OK. So why am I holding on to my 'To Do List' for today? Because I'm now 50 or is it that I prefer to depend on myself? That is my question of the day.

It is freezing here this morning. Coldest by far! The worst thing is watching the children freeze. Now both vans are down and we have 2 vehicles gone with vacation/day off situations. That means I had to transport Jr. High kids to school in the back of the new Dodge. We got 7 girls inside for the ride...but the rest rode/froze in the back of the truck. This is the part I hate. This morning in devotions, the kids were shivering. Some only had short sleeves on and their teeth were chattering. Runny noses are starting along with coughs. I know it is part of life...but I hate to see the children suffer. I can't wait until heaven. My gaze needs to go upward because it's too painful to see!!!

Please pray for safety as many of our group arrives today. There are many miles to be traveled...and flights to catch. The group that is flying has only 45 minutes to catch their connection...if they arrive in Houson on time. Can't wait to see my Prince! YIPPEE! :) :) :)

Yes,yes, yes, yes, yes I wish I was down there getting on the bus with those kids. I can't believe how much I miss them. They're awesome kids to be with. We're praying for the group going down and the meeting with DIF tomorrow. Please give my love to Lorena and the rest of my crew-actually all of the kids and staff. Rog

Maggie liked seeing the photo of the boys playing with the cars. Thanks for including it.

Yazmine better soak up the rays while she can...not much sunshine in Michigan these days and snow forecast for the weekend.

We were praying for yo'll during the fiesta...trusting God that HIs work continues in Mexico and that His light shines through the darkness. Thank the team for doing God's work for us while us adopters can't be there.
