Mexico by air...









Today I am sitting in my recliner in Michigan. I am not covered with dust. My hair is not windblown. I have eaten familiar food and feel rested. The smells are pleasant, and I see lots of green. But, oh how I wish I was in Mexico. There are no dirty little hands in mine, no sweet kisses planted on my cheeks, and it is too quiet. I know the Lord's hand is in all that has happened, but leaving Mexico early was difficult. The good news is the fact that I'll be able to return in a little over a month. Thank you, Jesus!

Rosa and Ed returned safely on Monday and the staff did a great job with the children, as usual. I am hoping that Mama and Papa will be able to keep healing and slow down their pace a bit.

They are desperately in need of mattresses. Many more children are needing to stay at the orphanage, but they are short on mattresses. Down there they cost about $200 a piece. They have plenty of bunkbeds but nothing to sleep on! If you feel like you would like to donate, let me know. I would be glad to bring your donation to Mama and Papa when I arrive in June.

In June and July there will be 2 different youth groups visiting Lily, both from Michigan. The Swine Flu scare is proving to be just a scare and the violence is on the decline. I am so thankful that people are still remembering Lily and scheduling visits! It will be very special for the children!

Please pray for the adoptions and 'orphan-status' cases that I'm working on. God is blessing. My prayer is that by next Mother's Day there will be even more Lily children here in the states celebrating with their new moms. These kids will always have Mama as a very special mom to thank the Lord for as well. God is faithful...He "places the lonley in families and brings them joy." If there are any mom's out there that has a space in their heart and home for an orphan, please follow the lead! There are over 143 million children who are dreaming of a forever Mom! Make their dream come true!!!
