The sign to Brazil didn't surprise us on our journey. We just keep driving in what we think is the right direction. In Indiana we dropped off Buddy. He is the newest addition to our daughter, Calle's family. Our beautiful grandaughters were there to welcome Buddy too. Abby, our newest grandaughter, is starting to fill out. How kissable those cheeks are! Selah was just waking up from a nap when she saw Buddy and then it was all smiles from there. Buddy will be busy taking care of those little girls. You might help us pray for Calle'. She willingly took Buddy when her plate was already more than full. Charles plans on taking Buddy for a few weeks inbetween youth retreats. Then, up in Grand Haven we dropped off Gracie for Gary's mom to watch. Leaving our dogs behind was hard...they are our babies. But if that is what we have to do for now...then we are willing to do it. We don't know what the future holds...we are just doing things one step at a time.
The farther north we got...the more white we saw. By the time we arrived home, it was dark...but oh my goodness...the trees are just beautiful. I am hoping to get pictures taken tomorrow for the kids at Lily. They love to see the snow.
Tomorrow and Monday will be spent unpacking...and then repacking. We had a lot of room when we had a whole trailer to load. Now we will have just 4 suitcases, 2 carry-ons and 2 'purses'. We can do it...just need to re-think a few things. Tuesday Gary will be winterizing our 'home' and then it's off to the airport. I will be sure to get the word out when we arrive. You will see the fireworks...just look to the south!!!
Please be sure to pray for Ed and Rosa as they return this Saturday night. They are expecting us to be there...they thought we would be arriving last Friday morning (so did we). We don't want them to feel bad. God just had different plans...and we are OK with that.
