Mexico Bound!

Saturday morning Gary and I will be driving south...towards Lily. We were planning on going to Virginia first, but the Lord has other plans.

Proverbs 3

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

It's one thing to claim these verses as one of your favorites...and it's another thing to live by them. I've had my heart set on visiting our son for his ordination this weekend...and then driving to Lily. When I first heard of the snow storm heading towards Virginia I prayed for it to veer off to the north or the south. I was glued to the weather channel...waiting for a different forecast and actually stressing over it. But, this morning when I read these verses in Proverbs, the Lord asked me if I do trust Him. I've been seeking His will in my life and I need to submit my plans to Him as well. (This is actually not a new 'revelation'...it's just that for some reason I keep forgetting it!) He was redirecting my path and I was bucking it. Today I have surrendered with the reminder that it's all about Him and His Kingdom....not me. Now I am rejoicing in the fact that the Lord loves me enough to direct...and redirect me. Thank you, Jesus for not giving up on me.

Praise: Mama got her neck brace off and her big cast off her wrist. She begins daily physical therapy now. Papa has a very major surgery on his eye on Monday. They both are asking for your prayers. Once we arrive at Lily, I'll be able to update you with more details.

The thought of all those sweet hugs and kisses that are waiting for us is overwhelming. We are thanking the Lord for the opportunity to go. Thank you, Jesus! Until then...we have many miles.
