I wanted to explain more about this picture. Sometimes when I'm busy uploading the pictures and placing them on the blog, I forget why I took the picture. This picture has a story I wanted to share with you. Yes, it is Armondo and yes, he is still waiting for a mom to come...but there is more. Notice that he has his little hand tucked in his jacket?
Well, yesterday, I was walking through the cafeteria and noticed him in there...all by himself and looking very suspicious. I was trying to find out what he was doing. He had a terrified look on his face when I questioned him because he knew he wasn't supposed to be in there (apparently someone forgot to lock the door)and he was afraid he was in big trouble. Well, tucked inside his little hand hidden under his coat were 2 pieces of dried up bread he had snuck out of the pantry. What he didn't expect was my big smile and my promise that it would be our special secret. How in the world could I be upset with a hungry little boy taking a piece of bread? I know you all must think I am a nut, but I often find the tears flowing freely down my face and I have to run back to our casa. There is such desperation in these children that my heart breaks throughout the day. Please help me pray that these broken children will be made whole through Jesus.

Hello Linda
I have been reading your blogs for the last couple weeks. I'm a friend of Becky and Keith Arnett from MA. We attend the same church. Our son Logan has a huge heart for the kids there and it's quickly becoming a soft spot of mine also.
You are doing a wonderful job there! We are praying for you guys. It breaks my heart also to hear of a mother just dropping off her kids and walking away. I guess as a mom it's really hard for me to wrap my mind around.
Keep up the good work!
God Bless

Ughh...this kills me! I cannot wait to get there to hug that little boy. I know each child has their own heart breaking story. As always...we're praying!
