We have a new guy here...and his name is Jared. I went up to him yesterday to introduce myself to him...and found out that we are almost neighbors. He lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jared has visited here several times and has spent some short term stays here (several months). It has been three years since he has been back...and I didn't need to ask if he was happy to return. The constant smile on his face speaks volumes. Jared is 23 years old...tall...blonde and single. I was bold enough to ask him if Mama gave him the "I have a lot of beautiful daughters..." speech yet...and suprisingly he said, "No...not yet." Ya gotta know it's coming! :)
Today Mama and I went into Chihuahua to purchase much needed items for the kitchen. Now we have enough plates and cups so everyone can have one. Other items included some cooking utensils, garbage cans, smaller cooking pans, sharp knieves and other kitchen items. Thank you, TC Westside for blessing Lily! Also Nohema visited the market yesterday and purchased some much needed food. The children were very excited to eat the food your church purchased!
While in the kitchen, I noticed the wonderful improvements that Adrian Lopez made while he was down here with his group from Dallas. His talents and gifts are much appreciated! Marta...the paint in the houses are beautiful! Thank you for giving your time to make such a difference down here!
This is just a short entry...wanted to get these pics out from yesterday. The Lord willing, I will be able to post again tonight!
Peace.

Thanks Linda! Those new garbage cans are sure a nice improvement. Where and when is Brenda flying? "Chilo"
Thanks for the pics of Lorena and the rest of kids. I have to admit I was getting a little impatient. I thought we might have to dock your pay a little. But you came through. Ramon and I are packed and ready to go. Can't wait to give hugs and kisses for myself. Thanks much and we'll see ya soon. God bless. Rog
I loooooove this. Thanks for sharing the pictures AND the words! I CANNOT believe my mom and dad are there and I'm here.. but I'm so thrilled my momma finally gets to experience it!
Tell them hello for me and to "holler" at me if they get a chance. Do I have permission to call from their land line? :)
Love you, Linda! We're planning on coming in October as well... Lord willing. I pray it happens!
