Shriners Helping Ramon

Friends, please pray pray pray! God used a connection through a member of our Traverse City Ministry Team to Lily to get help for Ramon. It looks like the Shriners might be bringing Ramon to Cincinnati, Ohio to the children's burn hospital for treatment. This has all transpired in the past 24 hours. Tomorrow Ramon's Dr. will be talking to the Shriner's Hospital and decisions will be made about Ramon's future. Many things need to come together and my head is swimming. Please pray for the details. Rosa would like to accompany Ramon for the first week he is in the states. We also want to keep Pablo (Ramon's) brother with him. We have an angel from our church that has agreed to be at Ramon and Pablo's side and be their 'daddy' once Rosa leaves.

Here are some prayer requests:

1. Ramon's health. He is in 'stable' but 'delicate' condition. The Mexico Dr.said that it is not only the burns that are a concern, but Ramon is severely malnourished.

2. Ramon has another surgery scheduled for Monday in Mexico. If the surgery takes place down there, he cannot be transported for 10 days. So, they want this to happen fast.

3. Transportation issues. The Shriners pick up the Mexico children at the Houston, Texas airport. Details will need to be made for transportation from Mexico to Houston.

4. Visa issues. I don't know if the Shriners work with the government to make this happen or if we need to. (I'll find out more tomorrow.)

5. The Shriners may only pay for Ramon or possibly Rosa to fly. We might need money for Pablo's travel expense.

6. We will need volunteers to stay with Pablo and Ramon at the hospital when Al needs a break.

7. Peace for Ed and Rosa as they are letting their sick 'baby' go.

The last time I talked to Rosa today she was completely exhausted. They have been emotionally spent. Today their only bus died on them. The mechanic told them it will cost $13,000 pesos (approx. $1,300 American dollars) and they don't have it. Normally Rosa would just say that God will provide...but today she couldn't stop crying. My heart broke for them. Please help pray about this need as well.
