Arturo and Israel enjoying mango...

Teen party at a park in Aldama

Christie, Beth and Cheetos!

Chip drove the bus

Lovely Leslie!

Fabiola only had flip flops on for the party. She had no idea we were going to play soccer...so Carlos loaned her his shoes. They were a tad too big!

A bored goalie...

SOCCER!!!!!

Sandwiches, cheetos and soda after the game. Ahhhhh!

Beautiful Alondra. Hey Mary and Ike...I am supposed to tell you "HOLA" from her!

Ana Karen and Ben

Ramon and Ben

Tonito

Ashley and the puppy! Awwwwwe!

BBF Best Buds Forever!!!

Barbara and a sleepy Beatrice. I love it when someone can hold them while they sleep. Every little child needs a mommy...even if it is for just a few days!

Girl Time!

Finally the little princess woke up and she was hungry!

Ana Karen and me. Thanks, Carlos for the flattering pic!

Chip and Alondra

Berta and Bethany!

TC Westside will never leave Lily!

Ben and Carlos took some boys for a hike up to a small mountain. These boys need stuff like this!

Alondra and her bro...Abulardo!

Martha...she is so beautiful to me!

Peace out, Ana Karen!!!!

Oliver, Carlos and Felipe!

So cute!

Ana made Chip this sign....

A beautiful Ruby! (Dawn...note the shirt!) =)

Ana and the puppy!

David Moul blends right in! It's like finding Waldo!!!

An early morning greeted us. Actually we were up way before this!

We woke up at 4:30 a.m. to make cinnamon rolls for the children Saturday morning. It's a wonder they turned out since my brain doesn't peak until noon!!! ;)

Our 'fix-anything-guy' Ben, lighting the stove for me!

Mixing the dough! Who needs a Kitchen Aide?

Alex, Bethany and Ashley

The Cinnamon Roll Team! Almost as important as the Mexican Team in the World Cup to some of the kids!

We found a curly pasta in our cinnamon roll dough. Imagine that!!!!

Paul and the new puppy! Sooo cute...both of them!!!!

Ethan cutting up watermelon for breakfast!

Michelle and Beth...hard at work!

Beth trimming the melon...

Matthew...in charge of the pineapple!

The cinnamon rolls were a hit!

The icing....yum!

Friday night devos...outside!

Beth is a strong leader...and not really that dangerous!

Hamburger assembly line!

Mayo anyone?

The hamburger line is formed!

It was hot for our picnic until the bank of clouds came rolling in!

Ramon, Matthew and Gustavo. I have to say, Matthew purposed to build relationships and he really impresses me.

Bethany Fox

Deciding which flavor of ice cream to eat is a big deal!

Victor ate his banana split and finished off 3 others! I don't know where he put it!

This friend keeps cold air from coming under your door in the winter...and keeps tarantulas, scorpions and snakes out in the summer. I'm bringing one down next time for sure!

Tia Christie and Omar. They are officially dating. How cute! Tia Christie and her children will be moving to Juarez the end of this month. She will be greatly missed

VA Westside treated the male staff to eat out at a local restaurant and then ended the time with a banana split. YUM!!!

"I NEED CAFFEINE" (Not really. The waitress made a mistake and opened an extra bottle so Charles took it to save face. That's my boy!)

Chip trying on Briza's shoe. This pic actually reminds me of one of Cinderella's wicked step-sisters trying on the glass slipper. LOL!

Pastor Troy and Amanda

Beth Sellers

A late night visitor. I make sure I shake out my sheets and shoes just because of these guys!

Ashley, my scorpion slayer, in action!!!

The following pics are from our outreach service in Chihuahua. We showed a movie and brough donations for our brothers and sisters in Christ!

This really touched all our hearts. Thank you, Jesus, for allowing us to be a part of your great plan! Amen!

Pastor Saulo showed Charles and me the newly built upstairs children's room! To God be the glory!

Some precious children from the church.

Thankful sisters in Christ!

Handing out donations.

Ashley and the Pastor's girls.

These are the large and very heavy donation bags of food VA Westside provided for their Mexico brothers and sisters in Christ!

Samuel helped us carry the bags

A brother from the Chihuahua church.

Ethan and his red tongue...thanks to a delicious sucker!

Like father...like son!

Ashley and David sat on the donation pile in the back of the bus because there were no more seats!

Javier

Sergio

Ben

Jr. and Ashley

Noble

Steven

Paul

Perla, Matthew and me!

Nikki holding a sleeping Jackie!

It was a team effort to package up all the donation food...and they did it in record time!

Loading up the 30 mattresses! Praise the Lord!

First of all...Happy Father's Day to my wonderful Dad and my Prince! It was my dad who introduced me to Jesus and it is my husband who allows me to follow Jesus on these crazy adventures! I love you both!!!

I think the pics have described all the activity in the past few days. The latest news is that Eliaseo just came home from the hospital last evening! We are thrilled. It was a week ago today that I thought we lost him from choking. Thank you, Lord, for your mercy!

Tomorrow Ed faces the cornea transplant. This is a big deal. The last four corrective surgeries on his own cornea have failed. This donor cornea transplant is the last ditch effort to restore Papa's eyesight. Please help us pray for the surgery Monday afternoon at 2:00 Chihuahua time.

The Michigan team from my home church should be arriving tomorrow afternoon as well...so please keep them in your prayers as well. They are driving down with a group of 25!

This past week a lot of children have been snuggled and held. Many pictures have been colored and games played. Rosa and I have to agree that this has been the best team to interact with the children that we've ever had. VA Westside Church...this team is making you proud!

This afternoon part of the VA team will be taking the June birthday children out for ice cream as well as treating children who have achieved various goals. It should be fun! Some of the mountain children have never had ice cream! Speaking of which...my son sat next to a guy from Oklahoma on his flight in. After sharing with this man about the orphanage, he gave Charles $100 to buy ice cream for the children. Since then this man has visited the orphanage 2 times and brought food as well. God is working!!!

Please forgive me. I do not have time to edit this...please overlook my mistakes! =)

Ahhh! So refreshing to see God working through his people. I just love the pictures. I would like to have seen what was in those donation bags. So Cool.
So good to hear TC Westside is making such an impact and I hope our group can do the same.
Is there any chance of a match with those 2 that had to sit at the back of the bus...they look cute together...sorry I'll behave. Tell Mama & Papa hello and that I will be praying for his surgery.
